Interesting article. I am a member of an A/G church. But I assumed all denominations believe in the Holy Spirit. Isn’t the Trinity part of basic Bible doctrine?

I have been a member of several major denominations and variances of them in my life, including the AG church.
From what I have seen, the AG church does a better job of connecting people with the spirit, challenging them to be spiritually mature. I thrived more on this. I would describe it as more of a church that feeds their people meat and potatoes as opposed to other church bodies that just give folks the fast food experience.
I think there is a mix of reasons other bodies have done more poorly, like those who went the Bill Gothard route, and led folks down a path of abusive power and manipulation, this not only drives people away, it ruined a generation of people.
A church body needs to be a fulfilling place for people, one that builds a community based on a strong mature faith experience.
