There is to be an update this afternoon. There will come a time where’s rescue will turn to recovery. I cannot imagine being in that sub or family/loved ones. I hope they have a contingency for this very thing. I would rather put a bullet in my skull. Suffocation is, scientifically and psychologically, the worst way to die IMHO.

At the reported depth, the hull might have been crushed. That s supposedly quick. OTOH, they have air, supposedly, for 96 hours - four days. If the hull wasn't crushed, they would suffocate if hypothermia didn't get them first (a loss of power would put any heating devices (if any) out of commission. I am interested in how they would even locate it (assuming it wasn't able to surface). Active sonar, perhaps?

Yeah, those people are gone.
I am still hoping they are all alive and well. But as time progresses, the likelihood of that seems to be diminishing. Apparently the first sign of a problem was when the communications from the sub were cut off. That could have been for any number of reasons, the worst of which would be that the ocean pressure crushed the sub and killed its crew/passengers. However such a communication problem has occurred before without more serious consequences, so that's what I'm still hoping has happened.

I ain't worried about the billionaire. He'll find a way to hog the oxygen.
On a more serious note, anyone notice how this story has been distracting from the Hunter Binder plea deal? Think that's just a coincidence? Wake up sheeple!

Neither is amusing, but you did make a very funny observation.

Yeah, I shouldn't make jokes about billionaires. They are usually caring, humane, and generous people who create millions of jobs, unlike the shmucks who drive Amazon delivery vehicles.

Supposedly they have air enough for Thurs. If they made it to the surface, I hear they cannot open a hatch as they are bolted from the outside. Surely it has a pinger like a black box.

Well, I used to do volunteer work at a golf course that had lots of billionaires. It's world famous. The less I say about them probably the better, LOL.

This is hearsay; but on social media someone reported an employee of the sub builder was fired for letting the billionaire know there was doubt about the pressure capabilities of the windows. What is fact is the controller was a game controller!
