As much as I have hated the trumP Error, I don't know that I want the America back that gave us that error.
I want a fairer and freer America. I don't want more wealth and power consolidated in fewer and fewer hands. I don't want a double or triple justice standard. I don't want profits over people, property rights over human rights, or risks socialized and rewards privatized. I want us to be honest about the costs and value of, as well as access to, education and health care. I also want us to be honest about the true costs of going without access to quality education and health care. I want us to be good stewards of our one and only home planet.
I want America to live up to her promise, to her potential. I don't think that even repudiating trumP is good enough.
I think (or should I say hope?) that as a nation, he and his MAGATs have brought us much closer to our nadir than we have ever been to our zenith.
That surely does not bode well. What we need is a true rebirth. But is the world ready for another Renaissance? I can only hope so.

But is being non offensive enough when Biden's mental faculties are clearly not there as has been discussed here? The reality is whoever the V.P. choice is....is the defacto President. I am not convinced he is senile, if that is what you are saying.
I do agree that his VP is important, as a nudge to those who might vote for Trump, and as a catalyst to get minorities out to vote. I'm a fan of Kamala, but Colin Powell, or Condoleezza Rice would also work. Freon

Of all his pejorative nicknames, I lately prefer Benedict Donald.
He is a disgraceful traitor, and a cancer on our body politic.

He may not be full blown senile but he certainly has cognitive issues. As to Kamala, Ill just echo this. thehill.com/opinion/campaign/501685-joe-bidens-ideal-vp-is-condoleezza-rice

I'm also impressed by Kamala. And I agree those others, as well as Klobuchar or Warren would also work well.

He may not be full blown senile but he certainly has cognitive issues. As to Kamala, Ill just echo this. "Harris does not appeal to the public, even the Democratic part of the public. That is why she failed to make it far in the presidential primaries. Harris seemed unable to provide new answers to our country's deep problems or even clearly articulate what those problems are. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) had second-rate solutions, but at least they were solutions. Harris and the other candidates, including Biden, said largely what people wanted to hear, not what they needed to hear." thehill.com/opinion/campaign/501685-joe-bidens-ideal-vp-is-condoleezza-riceYet Biden is the candidate, meaning that by your own analysis, what they wanted to hear was enough.
I think we see this issue fundamentally differently, and considering you like Trump, not really surprising.
WHO the person is, is as important as what solutions they have thought of. The WHO of Trump is by far, his biggest liability. As to solutions, anyone who says they have all the answers is GUARANTEED to be lying to you (Trump).
I would rather have someone whose skill is in bringing all sides together to figure out a solution, then someone who believes they already know what the solution is. Freon

What solutions does Biden have? So far all I heard is crtiicism of what Trump has done and little by way of anything new let alone innovative. His sole contribution has been Onama allowing him to be VP. There's a reason why Obama isn't out there front and cneter for him. There's three debates. We will see how he fares assuming he shows up. So far he hides in the basement. You seem to ignore the fact that this is the first presidential race where the Democrats are actually running the VP candidate as the psuedo presidential candidate. I wouldn't say I like Trump as much as he's the lesser of two evils like the last time. Recall that Trump was not my first choice.

I wonder how long it will take Melania to divorce The Donald after the voters reject him in November.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that this is the most consequential election if you are a conservative. If you lose, generations are going to be impacted by the legislation that is the response to Trump. I would stop worrying about what doesn't matter, and start worrying about what does. Freon

"Survival" hasn't been a long term path we've been on for about 3 4 decades.

Freon Clearly you didn't read a word I said either since you repeated that Trump is my guy when I explained not necessarily. First Slow Joe has to win. You seem to ignore that old school Dem are turned off by the recent turn by the Democrats. They may not vote for Trumo but they may stay home. Berie's contingent isn't thrilled with Biden either so there's another large block of votes he may not get. I'm sure if Trump loses, who by the way is not a conservative, real conservatives will survive. Been the minority for a long time and yet still there.

You voted Trump. To me, that makes him your guy. You conservatives have had to make a decision since 2016, and because there was no crisis, you never had to actually do it. But now, with COVID, suddenly you have to decide to tow the party line, or admit you were wrong about Trump. The question is whether your life is more valuable to you then your pride. Lomelis, Stu, and maybe Que chooses pride. What about you? And no one said conservatives would disappear, nor would I personally want that to happen. Conservatives are part of the political food chain, and a necessary balance to our system. But what WILL happen is all the efforts conservatives have put in to make the country more white and more christian, which they rightfully believe Trump has moved forward for them, will be held back, or outright reversed, for years (I say generations) to come. In a way, if Trump loses, American Christianity itself will be dealt a blow that likely will be remembered as the turning point where it began to permanently fade. I say this out of fascination at watching the process. Freon

I say this out of fascination at watching the process. Freon What exactly have I personally been wrong about Trump on? Just because you ask a question doesn't make it a valid one. Explain how they choose pride. As of late everyone mentioned sounds more like Trump supporters in tone than not. That's not to be construed as me saying they are. Lomelis thinks the virus is overblown, like Trump has been accused of perpetuating . Stu loves Trump. He always has. Q defends more than he attacks. So do explain your reasoning on that one. You paint with quite a broad brush much like you always have. You make generalizations than lump everyone in as if it's factual. Tell me what efforts all conservatives have made to make the country more white. How exactly does one do that? Breed more whites? You're rambling now and trying to be a smart aleck in a veiled sort of way but I see right through it. Hence your ridiculous question that is meaningless in itself and to the discussion. Do you vote based on my pride? Stus'? Lomelis'? Qs'? You seem to forget that I was for Cruz and only voted for Trump at the bitter end. That's factual. You want to vote for Slow Joe and Kamala by all means do so. But don't try to rationalize it but making broad attacks on groups you disagree with. But I'd love to real actual proof like legislation for example that conservatives passed to make America more white. We will see what Americans want in a few months.
