I haven’t watched a single NCAA Tournament men’s game so far. To me, the college game is devoid of stars. In my view, the women’s game is a lot more fun to watch. They have big stars at this level, like Caitlin Clark and Paige Buecker.
I think the “one and done” rule that permits players to leave for the NBA after one year is hurting the college game.

Just the opposite. The one and done and transfer portal have created tremendous competition.

Zzzzzzzzz.

In the WNBA you have to be a sophomore and at lease 22 to qualify. Clark and Becker are good, but so is Reese and Morris.

No one is better than Paige Buecker. She was good, but I could name several that were better She *IS* good. She’s just a junior. In history, I consider Cheryl Miller to be the greatest, along with Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and maybe Dawn Staley.

Clark was better than her True, but that’s because Paige sat out the entire season with her knee injury. Hopefully, she’ll bounce back next season.

She still was not the best when she played previously. As I said. I can list about four or five that were better than her

College ball is the greatest. Where else can you buy a $0.50 ticket to watch the Round Mound of Rebound play twice/week, or Pistol Pete Maravich when lsu came to town. College is so much more emotional.

Fun fact for you, William: Pete Maravich still holds the record for most points scored in a single college basketball game in Hawaii. He scored 53 points against St. John’s in a Rainbow Classic Tournament game in 1969. My hubby and I have season tickets to University of Hawaii men’s basketball, and old-time fans still talk about how great Maravich was. Here’s a pic of him in Hawaii with Jack Lord of the original “Hawaii Five-0”:

Grew up in Auburn. 73, how about Jabari Smith Jr, or Walker Kessler? Never heard of them. I was born in 1975. Is Charles Barkley the greatest player in Auburn history? They are current NBA players from Auburn. Jabari is with Houston and played for Auburn last year and Kessler is with Utah and played at Auburn 2 years ago. Yep, Sir Charles holds that honor. He was there at the same time as Bo Jackson and Frank Thomas (baseball)

I was at the SkyDome Rogers Centre a long time ago with really good seats, like...second row, one aisle beyond first base. Kelly Gruber got a hit and was standing on first base, and Frank Thomas was still at least a full head taller. He was a monster hitter too.
