If it’s obvious the voting is being flooded with dummy accounts, I’ll switch to message voting. In honor of politics, a 60% filibuster-proof vote is required. I will also not be voting and D-Man will not have a vote as well. If said defendant is found guilty, another thread on length of punishment can be made (Week/month/year/forever/etc). Also, for the record, I’d be a no since I’m opposed to banning people in general although D-Man’s words are certainly pretty fucking horrendous.

This needs to be done EC style, not populra vote since there is a larger number of leftwingers than rightwingers posting here.
This would be a valid point but there's also a 60% threshold.

I vote no.
As much as racism disgusts me, as long as someone holds their views in a peaceful manner, they have 1st amendment protection.
Additionally, I am here to learn what makes Trumpers tick, and racists seem to be a large part of that constituency.
I consider d-man to be harmless and simple, not an actual threat intellectually or physically. Know thy adversary. By being himself, we learn the caliber of our opposition, and it seems to me we don't have much to worry about except their ability to vote.

Of course he should be banned.
I have him on IGNORE. He's despicable.
We as a forum, culture, country and species
would be better off without him and so
many others like him. So I voted "Yes".
But do I want our new LNF to be anything
like our old LNFs when it comes to the
threat of banishment? I don't think so.
I would rather see him take responsibility
for his own thoughts and deeds, as well as
seeing the rest of us doing the same. If you
find him as despicable as I do, IGNORE him.
Or stop responding. Or respond to him
with a hale and hearty ESAD, and move on.
But banning him merely because he deserves it?
Do we really want to start doing that?

I think The D-man is a great asset to this forum. His posts are brilliant and inciteful. He really makes me think. He also has a great sense of humor and is kind to animals. He also trudges through the sewer of 4chan's /pol/ board and Twitter and brings us goodies like livestreams and riot footage.
