I think modern-day remakes of classic TV shows are, for the most part, way better than the originals. Do you agree?
Example: The remake of "Hawaii Five-0" just blows away the original Jack Lord version. And the current "S.W.A.T." I'm going to say is tons better than the original. In both instances, the action scenes are so much more exciting, the cinematography is awesome and there are usually way more character development and subplots.

Back then, over-arching storylines were difficult, because you could only watch the show when it was aired, and if you missed it, you missed it. Now you can stream shows and binge them. The medium has changed our expectations.

Naw, I'll give you an argument on Hawaii Five-O. Jack Lord was the coolest mofo I'd ever seen. Great lines like "Dan-O, book'em... Murder One" will always be a part of American lexicon. The new one doesn't match that.

This is just a stupid cop show. I mean, on American TV they are literally a dime a dozen: Cars chasing, people shooting at each other, explosions... whatev! We used to put these in the background at mixed parties with kids so that they would have something to look at when they got tired of playing with one another... I couldn't tell one show from another to save my life.
