And here are a whole bunch of guitar greats paying tribute to the late BB King. There was a concert with B.B. King and a few others playing blues together. One of the guitarists was Slash, who went last. They were all good, but Slash's blues were just delicious; when he finished his segment, King told him to keep going... King told Slash to keep going rather than follow him. BB was always smart, and who wants to work that hard? |

And this might be my favorite Santana song. We saw him perform live in Honolulu, and he was great. Not every great guitar song has to be hard rock. By far my favorite Santana song, especially the Moonflower version. Santana was the best guitarist in the world the day he recorded this: |

A guitar student of mine back from a previous century. He was, like, 6 at the time, and I didn't teach him much. He grew up and definitely had the chops and the charisma. If you're from Texas, there was a cable TV show back about 10 years ago called "The Atheist Experience," and this guy wrote and played the theme song.
