This was the original post. The one you posted was a reference to the original.
But, even without the original, the two you posted still essentially agree. Freon
That was a different thread, and they don’t “agree”. When you write “you get about two months immunity”, you are saying something very specific. And then to write that a hypothetical covid vaccine gives you “indefinite” immunity, as if that’s just known, is also hilarious. You are a windbag that pretends to know things that nobody knows.

Okay guys, you both seem to expect that we should know all there is to know about a disease that reared its ugly head approximately 5 or 6 months ago. In my mind. that's like wishing on a star. It can make you feel like what you're doing really matters and will totally fix the problem. I'm certain you are both aware (since you each let us know how knowledgeable you really are (that remark is loaded with a sarcastic tone) that every year a lot of us get the annual flu shot (we'll probably get our next month some time) and someone who gets it also gets a case of the flu. Usually it's not a bad case, but some people go off and running about the lack of effectiveness of the flu shot. The same thing is being done regarding the China Flu. If a vaccine is developed, people are vaccinated and I'll bet you dollars to donuts that when one of them develops the China Flu, the Chicken Littles will start yelling, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling". I'm not making light of the disease or of any disease. Good Lord, I've had a couple of them that people, including me, are scared to death of. I've learned to do what I can to fight the durn thing, know your options, and do what you can to keep the sky from falling on you. Deal with your panic in the shower when no one else is home. I'd cry with fear and do a bit of heavy cussing (no G-D's though) and then get back to living whatever amount of time I had/have left. You deal with it the way you want to. Honey..First, you're clueless... Second, nothing you're rambling on about has a thing to do with the OP's dishonesty .. He.. like apparently ALL right-wings .. believe they can lie without consequences.. You are the only one lying here. She was responding to Trump's desire to move things along more quickly, which came the day before the announcement and the tweet she responded to was the set up to the announcement. Her opposition to Trump's desire to cut red tape is deadly. Period. Your desperate need to redefine her words is not proof that the meaning and intent changed.

Pointing out you dishonesty isn't me lying... I am not attempting to 'redefine' Pelosi's words and there's no way you can tie her comment MADE THE DAY BEFORE to his 8/23 Tweet. That is simply unprincipled douche-hacking ..

So wait, those that are already going to recover from the illness (those under 80) are the ones with the most benefit?
Also, for how long does this benefit confer? I wish it were not so, but this is at most a band-aid. Only a true vaccine will permanently deal with this problem.
Trump needs a win, any win, badly. This ain't it.

You mean like how the flu vaccine has totally eradicated influenza? Was it ever intended to? No, since the flu mutates every year. Vaccines sure did a number on smallpox and polio.

Thanks for those fresh new examples. I’m certain we can just lockdown civilization until a safe vaccine is developed which provides “indefinite” immunity, as freon assures us.

I guess you missed the flu example In your hurry to say something stupid. But people still die from the flu all of the time, and the immunity is in no way “indefinite”, and it had decades of research and trials and long term studies. So... just wait for a while and shut down civilization? I’m guessing at least till after the election, right?

If you are demanding that people be placed on house arrest by executive dictate, then it is political. And there are plenty of well respected scientists that adamantly oppose lockdowns. So take those two things together, and note that plenty of countries and states have locked down their populations, then it is political.

Which scientists? The government approved and employed ones?

But not other ones, right? The government employed bureaucrat. That’s the one I must listen to. And it’s not political, right? And “you get about two months of immunity”. And the immunity from a hypothetical vaccine will be “indefinite”. And don’t worry about covid. It’s a “minuscule threat” (-Fauci), and don’t wear a mask, but also wear a mask. And goggles.

If you have access to other qualified scientists, then yes, of course listen to them.
The easiest way to know you are listening to qualified scientists is that they will all generally give you the same information.
