The Flu vaccine is designed to protect the population against the leading 5-10 strains. COVID-19 is a specific strain, and it appears that only that strain is as virulent as it is. So a vaccine WILL stop its effect.
But, if another strain of COVID-19 mutates and proliferates, we will be exactly where we are now.
If you understood the science, I would have no need to explain this to you, and you would have not said what you said. You're not stupid, but VERY ignorant. And that would not be a problem if you just trusted the professionals in this area.
You don't. And that makes you easy to influence.

This post^ is a lie ... Pelosi's comment has nothing to do with the use of convalescent plasma (something they've been doing since day one) ..
Her comment was in response to Trump's conspiracy theory Tweet of August 22nd..
“The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics, Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!"
Trump's Tweet above and Pelosi's reply that you incorrectly said was a reply to convalescent plasma use were made August 22nd. Trump's "convalescent plasma" (again something already being done) announcement came yesterday.. August 23rd..

Aren’t you the one who said that, though you can’t reveal any sources for fear that people would figure out who you are, you KNOW that immunity only lasts two months? I haven't looked at the data recently, but I believe our TOTAL virus vaccines equal about 20. It is an area of biology which is still in its infancy. I do not believe we even have one that is purely man-made (i.e.not from live damaged virus).
Most that have been created are usually damaged live virus injected into people, who then develop antibodies that work on the full wild virus.
I never said I KNEW that immunity lasts two months. I said that based on the town hall's I have access to, with the world's top scientists working on COVID, that the data shows approximately a 2 month immunity. What you said, and what I said, are not the same.

Okay guys, you both seem to expect that we should know all there is to know about a disease that reared its ugly head approximately 5 or 6 months ago. In my mind. that's like wishing on a star. It can make you feel like what you're doing really matters and will totally fix the problem. I'm certain you are both aware (since you each let us know how knowledgeable you really are (that remark is loaded with a sarcastic tone) that every year a lot of us get the annual flu shot (we'll probably get our next month some time) and someone who gets it also gets a case of the flu. Usually it's not a bad case, but some people go off and running about the lack of effectiveness of the flu shot.
The same thing is being done regarding the China Flu. If a vaccine is developed, people are vaccinated and I'll bet you dollars to donuts that when one of them develops the China Flu, the Chicken Littles will start yelling, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling".
I'm not making light of the disease or of any disease. Good Lord, I've had a couple of them that people, including me, are scared to death of. I've learned to do what I can to fight the durn thing, know your options, and do what you can to keep the sky from falling on you. Deal with your panic in the shower when no one else is home. I'd cry with fear and do a bit of heavy cussing (no G-D's though) and then get back to living whatever amount of time I had/have left. You deal with it the way you want to.
