Criticizing someone's occupation as a personal insult is kinda lame, something the upper crust would do while looking down at us.
If we're gonna criticize someone based on their job, let's go after the rich.

Interesting. What should I aspire to, Archie?
Is YOUR situation what I should aspire to? I'm already in the top 10% of money makers. I've already published original science, so I am immortalized, and I have made all humanity a little better. And I already work with our first responders and law enforcement, making our country safer.
I already contribute generously to humanitarian causes, and I am deeply spiritual.
What am I missing? How are YOU able to give ME advice on ambition and doing right for myself and the country? I'm listening.
Freon
If you are as successful as you say here, and still think that a socialist government would be better for us you have some mental problems. If not for capitalism, you would not be as successful as you are saying you are. I don't think a socialist government is better, nor do I know a single liberal who does.
You are being lied to, if you think the majority of liberals think that way. We don't.
Your media is telling you so, because it wants you to behave a particular way, and let's face it, it is working.
I DO want some services socialized. Like the mail, police, and yes, healthcare insurance. Freon

I hate to break it to you, but Stu make far more sense than you do here. He's known for backing up what he's saying.
First, you're confusing education with intelligence again. And, secondly, it's definitely not intelligent to laughably postulate that others with whom you disagree are "not aware of where they live on the intellectual spectrum".
I've known genius level people who can't walk through a turnstile without banging their head. Believe it or not, company management actually padded the turnstile bars to mitigate the stupidity of geniuses.
We observe rampant stupidity and perversion on the West Coast and want no part of the head banging vacuousness of those "geniuses", either.
It's hard to take a guy seriously that stocks shelves at Piggly Wiggly. Greg I look like Einstein next to the guy whose idea of an intelligent response is posting pictures of huge butts in mid twerk. I've never stocked shelves anywhere, but in my youth, I loaded semi trucks, sometimes by hand, in Southern summertime. Not a pastime for pasty leftists, the infirm or small men, but it paid the bills. Good, honest work is a concept that these leftists don't understand
Liberals were allegedly for the little guy once upon a time, but Greg pulled back the curtain to show us their disdain for such folks. And they wonder why Trump's going to win.

Absolutely we need those on the left. The arts, entertainment, music, dancers, certain inventors, ivory tower classroom book smart theoretical educators etc.
Right brained people, new creative, more artsy can do many many things left brained more analytical types can’t
I don’t want anyone like me trying to choreograph a play or write poetry.

A couple of points.
1. Liberals are not predominately right- or left- brained. 2. I think conservatives are a necessity in this country. I do NOT consider Trumpers to be conservatives. 3. I would love to read your poetry Freon

Greg, those shelf stockers that stock shelves after the store is closed earn a decent living working for the big stores. Stores like Walmart, Home Depot, Publix and others.
Sure they do, but so do people that clean out shithouses. Would you aspire to do that? Graduate from high school and tell everybody "I'm going to be a shelf stocker at Piggly Wiggly". 20 years later you're still stocking shelves at Piggly Wiggly. Seriously?
Greg
When you get out of high school, it is your choice what you will do. I did what I thought was right, and I was. No college, and I was able to become a salaried employee for one of the greatest companies in America, General Motors. I was supervisor of the skilled trades in a plant that was if I remember right was 16 acres under the roof, all on one floor, and it had a basement with people and machinery that made all of our liquids safe and disposable, like the oil and coolants used in the machinery. I was the skilled trade’s supervisor, so that meant I had to deal with tool, makers, machinists, electricians, tinners or called metal workers and welders, mill wrights and plumbers. And I did every day with the greatest team of workers possible. And I know, that all American made cars are the best, Ford, Chrysler, and GM.

This does nothing to disprove the fact most red states receive more in federal money than they contribute. In other scenarios, this would be considered welfare. Try again.

I wasn't trying to disprove the numbers. I was dispelling the myth that it was unwarranted. Red states can stop taking the money, but there won't be roads, railroads or military bases. That'll mean that products won't be on the shelves and there will be no one to deter attack. But cut away if you like. See how that works out for ya. Moron.

Trumpers, you say we liberals are evil, but even you cannot deny that the bulk of this country's educated citizenry is liberal. So my question to you is simple. Would you like us to leave?
Please consider your answer. We are the inventors, the entertainers, educators, the creative engine of this country.
Would you REALLY like us to leave? Thanks for playing,
Freon
I deny it!
An honest individual would address the point rather than erecting strawmen ...
He said "the bulk of this country's educated citizenry is liberal."
You knee-jerk reply does not address that..

Ah.. So you're saying that they DIDN'T build it themselves .. I'm saying that it is disengenuous to compare spending based on state borders and populations because the government spends money on roads per mile not per capita. Any one with an IQ greater than their age can figure that out.

As long as I have been voting, (my first election was in 1956) nationwide there have always been more democrats than republicans. And yet both parties have been able to win elections. I don't know if it's policies in any given year, or good looks (Kennedy) or turning out the vote (dems are better than reps at that) or it rained or snowed or what. Personally, I don't want any of us to leave. What would be the point of that? We are a Republic, made up of 50 states and two territories. There are varying thoughts, politically, socially, educationally, income levels, and that list could probably go on and on. We have different wants and needs. Every four years we get to vote on who shall be our leader for the next four years. That's the glory of our Republic. BTW, I don't think you're evil You're just misguided. God Bless America. Long may she live!

I just want our government to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and the dems offer that much more than the current repubs do.
I wish repubs would remember who they are, and vote for their values instead of their party.
That's what I do. If that is misguided, then I wear that badge with honor. Freon

because the government spends money on roads per mile not per capita.
WTF does that even mean?
When they build an interstate crossing a rural state, there are very few people to pay for it. But the cost of the road does not change. It will cost $x per mile per lane. So states like Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, etc don't have a lot of people to contribute to the cost and yet there are thousands of miles of interstate in each state to pay for. If the federal government pays it, they will likely spend more money then they take in for each state. On top of that, most of those states have large military bases in them. It has been a national strategy to keep large portions of our military resources well inside our borders so that it is harder for invading armies to strike them via ICBM or air strike. Most of those states are sparsely populated and red states. So when you say that red states take in more than they send out, it is glaringly obvious to even a casual observer as to why that would be.
