We broke the previous agreement, kept the maximum pressure campaign going, and now, instead of Iran enriching only to 3.67%, we're up to 60 in any new deal. Bravo. Good job everyone, especially John Bolton.

Started off interesting, then took a turn into hawk crankery.
Iran's has definitely changed its tack, which has been interesting to watch, but Pollack attributes their change to "the United States’ continued disengagement from the affairs of the Middle East." You know, because our continued presence in Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, and most recently the decision to put Marines on tankers in the Persian Gulf are all definitely signs of disengagement.

Quick, let's give the Saudis a few billion more in arms and a mutual defense pact.

Options for what?
As we've seen in the Red Sea/Yemen, this isn't necessarily a deterrent.

Biden: "I'm the first president this century to report to the American people that the United States is not at war anywhere in the world." ( Source)
This is as bad or worse than when they said we didn't have troops on the ground in Syria.

So, we have to remain in Iraq to counter the problem we created by invading Iraq.

Seems like involving themselves in a conflict that they don't have anything to do with them by fucking with other people wasn't a good idea. Also, another word for (some) of what they are doing is piracy.

They're not deterred by these attacks.
But Biden's claim is completely false. Why tell the American people we're not at war when we are?

I like how people in the west think they can help people who have been fighting non stop for thousands of years. They hate each other and hate everyone else.
I wish we went all in on nuclear power in the 1970’s and had no use over there.
