As I recall, I came to LNF as a DF refugee, so I was a comparatively late arrival at LNF. Then the LNF owner died and all hell broke loose. As I recall. Absolutely correct, sir. And then Fiddler saved us
so he could delete threads. |

When I left DF I went to Twitter. Didn't even think about posting anywhere until sokpupet invited me here. This reminds me of other forums I was on before DF that were small and folks got to know each other. I might stay. You might want to wait until you meet the next new guy before you make a decision like that. His name is limey. |

ECW sent me a notice about this place.
I haven't joined yet cause the first thread I opened was a flame war with a lotta nastiness.
But I returned and opened this thread and see some friends and allies.
ECW and I have met in person a couple times... once in Texas and once in Hawaii
Politically very different but that's the way it goes in real life too, right?
Your political allies don't always correspond to friendship and that make for interesting conversations if you can keep it from descending into rancor.

Not sure that's necessary. I don't know that posting a link to another forum is actually some kind of threat, regardless of how it has been perceived on other fora in the past. Then again, I don't own this forum, so it's not my call. I was jokingly referring to the padlocked room at the old LNF called The Bunker. The cool thing about LNF now is that we don't need something like that, if indeed we ever did. Consider this post a public admission that I was wrong about needing a bunker. Not all change is progress. |
