It's all the same people involved. Why would Ukraine be any different?
Feverish war madness can only be maintained for so long in a population. So long as it was always possible to spin the news in a positive direction making people feel like heroes for endorsing the slaughter of innocent people, feverish war madness was the order of the day.
Reason hasn't won out yet. But there've been hopeful signs.

Watch for all the Western outlets to start re running their "Ukraine has a nazi problem" stories. That'll be another sign the herd is starting to look outwards instead of always inwards at the cow next to them to see what they're doing first.

OK, I might be misunderstanding, but if the concerned nations (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) are allowed to continue to ban their consumption of Ukrainian grain, as long as they permit the transit of it to other nations, what's the problem?

If by "reason" you mean ignoring all of the war crimes committed by Putin, and catering to the will of right wing Republicans, then let us hope those "signs" you see never come to light.
Yeah! We've still got a lot of Ukrainians lined up to sacrifice on the altar of "democracy." Why would we want to interfere with THEIR right to sacrifice themselves for OUR national interests?? (Ignore that the sacrifices have to be hunted down and forced to the front...nothing to see there.)
