No, I use the term "mystery movie" very loosely. The movie need not, and often is not, a mystery. It's the title of the movie that is the mystery, generally speaking. For example, if the movie in question were Mary Poppins, it could hardly be considered a mystery, unless one is very confused by her ability to so aloft with her umbrella.
But Bowery Boys is an interesting genre. I remember my dad was fond of that ilk. Never did much for me.
