1) Tomato plant falls from balcony above 2) The Girl is new neighbor, having taking the apartment above for the summer 3) Something the janitor said about the carpets and moths 4) The wife forgot to bring the kid's kayak paddle with them 5) Richard and "The Girl" connect when they play chopsticks together on the piano 6) Classic scene where The Girl enjoys a cooling breeze over the subway grate 7) The Girl is carrying a new air fan; the cord gets caught in the front door. 8) The air conditioner scene 9) Richard tries to deny his fantasies about The Girl 10) Richard's thumb has a nervous twitch that is supposed to be a sign of his repressed urges 11) Richard has a rich fantasy life 12) The Girl is never mentioned by her name 13) Richard's wife has gone away for the summer to Maine 14) The girl comes down the stairs between the two apartments

if you're a Buster Keaton fan you should love it. It's based on a true Civil War story about a train being stolen and re-stolen. I have no idea how historically accurate it is - probably not much more than the taking and retaking of the train. "often ranked among the greatest American films ever made. In 1989, it was selected by the Library of Congress to be included in the first class of films for preservation in the National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant"."
