Many VP candidates are selected to help win a state that's in play.....she's from California. She did poorly in the primaries this year. And there's not a soul that believes that senile Biden has the mental acuity to actually function as president, but I doubt that his handlers will let her play queen.

She's a fighter, meaning she won't back down. Ever. She brings the black vote, and she's from Cali, which means she represents my values closely, though likely not completely.
She's also smart and quite attractive, which I hate to say, matters.
I want our leaders to be the best of us. The smartest, the most educated, the most honorable, the highest integrity. Not saying that's what we're going to get, but I can settle for some of those traits over all of them. Trump brings none of them. He is a spoiled child. He is our worst traits, all bottled up in one human. I'm not sure how much lower than him we could go, but then again, I said the same about baby Bush, and well, here we are.

I did hear that 36% of likely black voters approve of Trump's performance on the job. If even half that percentage votes for Trump, it's Biden who is toast.
But, you're right about the reason. I keep forgetting the Obama rule....in that case, blackness was more important than competence, which Obama never had. Same with Harris.

Am I to assume there is not one thing she's done that is positive?
She's ruthless, smart, exacting to the law, and ambitious. That's not necessarily evil. She might play the role of VP nicely with those attributes.
But I will do more research before I come to any long-term conclusions.

I predicted it would be Kamala long ago. Now for my next feat of prognostication, I predict Trump will run ads featuring both Biden's and Kamala's history with mass incarceration. Biden and Harris are the Lock-'Em-Up ticket. If Trump puts out ads about Harris, the left will pull out their race and gender cards, scream "HOW DARE YOU ATTACK A BLACK WOMAN!", and lie about how supposedly mean and racist Trump is. |
