Yeah, "it's a wonderful life". Isn't it typical of a society rotten to the core by religious dogma? The first and only time I saw this mawkish self-glorifying drivel it was on a foreign channel. We did sever the umbilical cord to the clergy for a few centuries now. We're no longer impressed by this shit. I am not surprised that you two imbeciles love that kind of stuff. Talk about a waste of good actors. But James Stewart played in quite a few films that weren't worthy of his talent. This is one of them. Says the Grinch.

Second Clue:
There was also the original Broadway play, a radio adaptation, and a television production version.

It's like I am speaking in a foreign tongue, you f*ucking imbecile. Is that the best you can do? Now go out and kill some kittens, maybe you'll feel better. Are you having your period?

Whatever triggered the troll, I wonder.
He is perhaps best ignored.
Maybe he'll snap out of it.

A little needy, are we?
Mmm.
Ok.
It's a desert location, with lots of rocks of interesting origin.

Most of the action takes place in and around a diner in the middle of nowhere.

Next one, which y'all might get with only one clue:
This film's title character was played by someone who only appeared in this one film, that performance being perhaps the greatest individual performance of the silent film era.

Interesting guess, but no. To amend my first clue, my movie's star had apparently played a part in a movie a decade or so earlier. That information is new to me, as until recently, the person starring as the title character had only been known as a stage and cabaret performer. Regardless, this person never made another movie after 1928, eventually moving to Argentina where she died as a result of a drastic, self-imposed weight loss regimen which devolved into a starvation diet.

Renée Jeanne Falconetti The Passion of Joan of Arc
This would have been my first guess except for the previous film.

Yes, she has a very expressive face.
But the closed captioning didn't work.
