"He predicts that 25% of the police force is going to quit over the Democrat induced, or at the very least, endorsed, push to ‘defund the police’ which has put a target on the back of each and every man or woman in uniform. So if should come as no surprise when the Democratic National Convention is having a hard time finding cops who are willing to put their lives on the line to work in what I would bet is going to be a war zone. At least three Wisconsin police agencies are pulling out of security agreements to send personnel to next month’s Democratic National Convention over orders that would prevent officers from using certain crowd control measures during protests.
The Fond du Lac, Franklin and West Allis police departments were part of a collective of outside agencies poised to send 1,000 officers to secure the event, which will run from Aug. 17-20 and where Joe Biden is expected to be named the party’s presidential nominee. The action comes after the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission directed Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales to change department policy to restrict the use of tear gas and pepper spray."

What else would you expect? After the way the police have been talked about by the dems, it wouldn't surprise me if the Blue Flu attacked the police. It's happened before, but not on this large scale, if it occurs.

The job of the police is to protect and to serve. The second they stop behaving that way, they lose the respect of the populace.
If they have bad eggs, it is THEIR responsibility to remove them. I work for a hospital system, and if one of the departments has a high mortality rate, the entire system is seen that way. I'm not being figurative here. We get rated by multiple agencies, multiple times a year, and it is our CUMULATIVE performance which determines our ranking.
The police have almost NO oversight, have unions that protect officers who should be fired, and yet are allowed to use lethal force at their own discretion.
Those who like this system, are likely part of the populace not being discriminated against by them.

Police quit? Screw that they should be fired if they refuse to do a job they were hired for just like anyone else.
Good riddance if they only want to protect who they decide to protect.

I will say having been to salt lake city, its a very weird place...you walk into a pub on main street, and you have to be a member of the club to get a drink,,so they say will anyone sponsor him, a bunch of hands go up, you pay a dollar, now you are a member for life and you can drink there...so weird....they repeat it everywhere you go... |

Honey .. Someone wanting to be a LEO goes into the job knowing the risks ..
A teaching certificate doesn't include a waiver for spending 6+ hours a day 5 days a week in a room filled with crucibles harboring a potently deadly virus..

The same thing happened in Florida with the Republican Convention, with the [Republican] sheriff said they couldn't provide the necessary security for Florida Coronapooloza 2020.
