However it should be added that there are a number of ways to conceal an ip address, which I will not detail here. Suffice to say that if a moron like me knows this, a stealthy troll could know it as well. But probably more trouble than it's worth to engage is that sort of trickery, unless one happens to be paid so to do by, say, a foreign government or even a domestic political organization out to sow chaos and dismay.
When you see two new accounts pop up, one named Chaos, the other Dismay, you'll know.

I voted "yes" for three reasons. 1. Technically, I have two accounts as one of them is my moderator account (although it's "Maestromod," so hardly a disguise). 2. If we prohibit multiple accounts, then we're going to end up with post after post and thread after thread of people accusing each other of being someone else and violating the rules. This will also pop up if people change their names for whatever reason. This will get very tiresome and is my main concern with this question. The worst part of a political message board is when it sinks to this kind of junior-high level obsession with who is who. 3. What difference does it possibly make? None of us is who we say we are. I hate to disillusion anyone, but my name ain't "Maestro." It's the words that matter, not the person saying them. Focusing on the ID of the poster says that we decide whether the person is right or wrong rather than the words, which is foolish. It is saying that we need to know whether or not we like the poster before we comment on his posts because we are afraid of agreeing with an "enemy" or disagreeing with a "friend." This is also foolosh. My advice is to please leave well enough alone. Who cares what ID someone uses when we're all using aliases anyway? My lone exception would be forbidding people from trying to use a misleading username in order to appear to be someone else, or to mock someone else. For example, setting up an account named "Oddysseus." Yes.. Good points.. I too have 2 accounts Admin/Fiddler and I feel rather certain we won't be using those to gang up or to spread chaos.
