This album features the incomparable David Grisman on mandolin, the unparalleled Darol Anger on violin, and the virtuoso guitarist Tony Rice. Recorded in Berkeley in the fall of 1976.
I didn't know that you were a fan. I love the way bluegrass people float in and out of groups the same way the lead moves from person to person in a song. I've got a bunch of old Grisman, mostly with Jerry and Tony Rice with probably 10 different groups. Jerry Rice? He always had good hands. He's also a bluegrass virtuoso? I didn't know, although I have to admit that it makes sense. |
