When you read or hear the word phenomenal in immediate context, which of its meanings do you tend to reflect upon first? 1) very remarkable; extraordinary. 2) perceptible by the senses or through immediate experience. Which is it? Vote, coz if you don't, Ody gets it.
I don't get what you mean by "immediate context". What is the time frame for that? Five seconds? Five minutes? Five hours? Five lifetimes (in the case of Ira/Ezra, that would be five years).

That aside, I look at the root of the term, phenomenon, and that is basically a particular event. It could be remarkable or mundane, and perceived through a variety of means, including experiences and senses, and also via instrumentation such as in a scientific observation or experiment.
So, none of the above, all of the above, it depends.
Immediate context means once you started asking those questions, you were speaking out of/after that moment's immediate context. But is that possible? Has the context really changed? |

Wow, haven't heard that song in decades.
I think I prefer it without the video, though. Something about that ill-fitting suit and the keyboard player's really bad haircut.
Not to mention the bad sound-video synch.
Still, it brings back memories. Windy was a better tune overall.

PS-I saw Guaraldi at a local SF TV station back in the 60's as an audience member for a local TV show where he was a guest performer. I remember watching the show and saw myself in the audience. Somewhere in the tape vault there may be a shot of a teenage Odysseus. Be very afraid. LOL.

Interesting tidbit about Patsy Cline.
During her rise to stardom, she was injured in a car accident, and wound up with a visible scar on her forehead. That's why afterward she kept those long bangs, to cover up the scar.
