Does anybody else here sometimes inadvertently cut off circulation to their first finger while flossing? He's playing the slide part without a slide better than anybody else can play it with a slide. I once opened a soft banana with a sharp knife and accidentally sliced into the index finger of my left hand. I had a thing the following evening in which I was playing guitar, and got blood all over the strings because the string was sliding into the slice. What was the best thing you played that following evening? |

I once opened a soft banana with a sharp knife and accidentally sliced into the index finger of my left hand. I had a thing the following evening in which I was playing guitar, and got blood all over the strings because the string was sliding into the slice. What was the best thing you played that following evening? The "best thing"? We were doing a mock "late night show" as a college sales pitch to potential students. The musical caliber was not that high. The only thing I really remember playing that night was the riff from Eye of the Tiger. |

I am surprised that you managed to keep the tip of your finger attached to the rest. It's not for nothing that guitar players develop calluses on their fingers. That string could have cut through your finger like through a piece of butter. |

The best part of the story was when I was washing dishes after dinner, before the event. We had had spaghetti. I was hand washing the dishes and putting them in the drying rack one by one. But I kept missing sauce on the plates...which I would spot only after putting it in the drying rack. It wasn't spaghetti sauce... |
