People should probably stop pretending that either of the two major parties offer anything distinctly Nazi. It is the talking point of partisan hackery whichever side is making the accusation.
I think that's fair. You have to get into the weeds, far outside the mainstream, to find anything resembling Nazi ideas. I am thinking about the Great Replacement set on the right, or the tankies on the left.
Right, and even if there were people in either party (or movement, since CPAC is more a movement than a party, even though there is one party they clearly align with) that that secretly harbored those kinds of beliefs they probably would want to avoid any symbolism that gives it away or, if they wanted to "out" themselves, they would probably not do so with an upside down altered version of an obscure, little-known symbol.

You understand that this is a rough translation of the phrase on the entry gate to Auschwitz, right?

Indeed. Far easier to appropriate the OK hand gesture, or a frog cartoon. That's why I think this is probably a troll job.

Despite my efforts, Fiddler seems stuck on using anecdotal evidence when real data and statistics refute everything that he comes up with. That's about ironic as it gets. Its like you have no self awareness, at all. Says the King of Anecdotal Evidence. Fiddler is a low ranking amateur compared to you. I am the destroyer of such faulty logic as you are well aware, which seems to still have your knickers in a twist.

All you have done is prove you don't know what anecdotal means.

Referring to Petep or the guy wearing the shirt?
Agree that it is bad if either one of those options you mentioned.

I did not know that. If I saw that shirt on someone I’d assume they were saying that not being allowed to work due to the lockdown is like being a prisoner But being allowed to work is what brings freedom

Pete, the guy wearing the shirt is obviously a Nazi.

All you have done is prove you don't know what anecdotal means. I've already schooled you on the meaning of anecdotal evidence, but it didn't take, evidently. Some are slow learners and need remedial instruction:
Anecdotal evidence is a term referring to evidence that is collected in a non-scientific manner and supported by isolated, specific instances of an event. It relies on personal testimonies rather than on scientific evidence, and, consequently, is considered as the weakest type of evidence.

The shirt says "Camp Auschwitz" and then that phrase. I think we can all agree that the phrase is not referencing what you describe, but the sign at the entry to Auschwitz, a place I would not associate with anything resembling freedom.

And which of my arguments rely on anecdotes or personal testimonies?

See. That reply of Pete's is another mystery. He's playing so coy about not seeing that big "Camp Auschwitz" logo. Too coy by a mile. Its a rouse. No one is that dense.

For what it's worth, "Work Brings Freedom" sounds like a poor translation of the German phrase that was emblazoned on the gates of a concentration camp; Auschwitz probably. The German phrase is "Arbeit Mach Frei". Which I've always interpreted as "Work Makes You Free". It was a profoundly cynical phrase, since most of those prisoners who entered that gate at Aushwitz wound up as little piles of ashes.
