I get the "free speech" thingie about the LNF. It's always been that way here. BUT, d=man is not about free speech, he's about inciting harm on people not like himself, that is, Black people (like ME). His focus is racial conflict. No more or less. You can pretend that there's a difference if that's what helps sooth your conscience, but it's really not different than what Solar did. I don't have to pretend and my conscience is clear. I've seen posters banned at CPF for embedding links rather than posting the full url.. Yup. Happened to me, I think.
The stupids over there don't get that all one has to do is to hover the mouse over the embedded link, or the "hyperlink", to see the full url address. Morons.

One of my threads disappeared a few months ago. D is one of the biggest liars here. I only recently learned that he may be an administrator here? I've been avoiding this place due to that.

Thanks Admin. I too have big problem with censorship until I was educated about the paradox of tolerance. I think you made the right decision. D-man threatens the existence of the forum. He was inciting violence and giving instructions.  |

His last 8-10 posts were simply too far over the line. He had been warned more than once. No honest, reasonable person would ever say that posters are banned here for infractions as trivial as those in the Echo Chamber.. I suppose that's why you're saying we're the same. That's what I remember, too. He came in hot, defending child murderers and spree killers, without reservation, and then he went on to focus on making bad arguments about race and genetics. I was pissed off that he was sent an invite to this new board. Its like.. why? What in the world? If anyone deserves to be banned, it's this pos. Yea.. I allowed it to go on too long.. Sorry .. I'm new to despoting ... That decision couldn't be easy. I don't think it would be for me. I've heard that one shouldn't expect thanks for doing the right thing, but thanks anyway. |

As far as I know, the only members here with the power to delete posts and threads might be:
Admin (full power)
Maestro (global moderator)
Mercy for All (moderator of Religion forum)
I cannot imagine that D-man ever was given moderation powers here.
It would however be nice if when a post or thread is removed, that the member who created the post or thread is informed by the member who removed it. But I can understand that this could add to the forum operating burden.

I'm comfortable with the free speech status of a board that tolerates quiet racism, like that frequently espoused by Pete, Stu or Paleo, while taking hard stance against Nazism and Stormfront style hate. Remember, if there’s a Nazi at the table and 10 other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with 11 Nazis. I'd put rat poison in the food. |
