Only for a couple of weeks...then of course there are certain people that ignore it. Actually over 3 weeks and California was the first state to issue stay at home orders, maintained those orders for months, and followed stricter guidelines for reopening than CDC recommendations. What gives? How could we possibly be seeing spikes? All of the right wing conspiracy theorists in California aren’t following any of that. That’s why.

Remember in the older forum, I said the leftist-libbies are rooting for the coronavirus because they think it will hurt Trump’s re-election chances *AND* broaden the scope of government? And remember when some of you insisted I was wrong?

My county in Tennessee started a mask mandate last Friday when out inside public businesses (With a few exceptions). It was just a recommendation back in March - May when people were still babbling about it disappearing during the summer. Good to see things are getting immensely better, like Trump and Pence are claiming.

Portsmouth didn’t experience this supposed bad weather they were going to get and got to dodge a Trumpicane blowing into their city. They must feel like they are totally winning.

Why would I want to or need to? Well obviously you wouldn't want to, because it would ruin the argument you're presenting. But you need to ... if science is really something you consider important. LA and San Diego are the reason California is going back into shutdown. Not rednecks in the Central Valley bitching about the shutdowns. From the NY Times article: More than a third of California’s cases are in Los Angeles County and San Diego County has had 18 community outbreaks over the past week, more than double the state’s acceptable threshold.
Queshank The photo was taken in Huntington Beach.. Orange County. “We are announcing additional statewide actions,” Newsom said in his still-ongoing public event, saying that the increased closures were “a consequence of positivity rate and increased hospitalizations” for COVID-19. The news means that Los Angeles County and nearby Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura Counties can still permit outdoor-only restaurant dining, as well as takeout and delivery. Further north, Alameda County — home to Oakland and Berkeley — recently rescinded its ability to even allow restaurants to serve outdoors. Gyms, indoor services like malls, and beauty salons and hair cutting facilities are also closed across those counties on the governor’s watch list.Link

Thank you. Once in awhile, you actually step up and prove science and reality is important to you. You might be right...you may be an actual liberal after all. Can you believe Cadescove's leftist response was "Why would I want to or need to?"
So do we think that California is shutting down because of Huntington Beach protests in May and again in June as Cadescove intimates? Or would you argue it's at best a contributing factor?
EDIT: Bah. The twitter video is embedded in a news article and appears to have disappeared off twitter. Or perhaps I just don't know twitter well enough to understand how to play twitter videos.
If you actually need me to Fiddler, I'll pick out all of the videos and pictures that *aren't* carefully cropped and edited of police protestors also not wearing masks. Are they perhaps a contributing factor to the California shutdown? Specifically the increase in Los Angeles?

I've always be Liberal .. You've spent a lot of effort trying to hang a "Leftist" label on me.. but I suppose that's only when you're running low on straw.. And yes.. Please post all unedited videos and pictures of police protestors also not wearing masks that you can find.. Perhaps some busy work will give your hair a chance to extinguish ..

You promote so many leftist bullshit causes and so much leftist propaganda, it can be hard to tell Fiddler. Like your revisionist leftist professors analysis on the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine that I'll get around to responding to eventually.
But here's a few to wet your liberal whistle and help you remember how to use it. It won't keep me busy at all Fiddler. It only takes 30 seconds if you're a liberal and not a propaganda spewing leftist....

Wait, you think it's odd that we're continually seeing record spikes?
Like I said.... they don't argue about this in earnest.
No. I don't think it's odd at all. I just want some consistency from you guys about what you think is driving it. You're schrodering all over the place every time you guys post. Queshank Actually, a large part of the shutdown is due to the Imperial Valley, well East of San Diego.
I know this because I work for a hospital system in San Diego, and we, as well as many other Cali hospitals, are getting their patients.
I cannot speak for LA, but in San Diego and Irvine, I have not seen or heard a single complaint about wearing masks or the shutdown. We are tough, and we can handle this.
Also, more than likely the vaccine will come from Cali.
You are very welcome. Freon

I agree with you about this, but not what you are insinuating.
Every bad recommendation that comes from the white house is good for deposing the imbecile in power. Am I happy people are getting sick? No. Am I happy I have to stay at home most of the time? No. Do I want this to end and our country get moving again? Heck, yes.
But am I surprised by his actions? Not really. What would surprise me is if he actually behaved like someone who gives a sh#t about us.

You’ll never win this one q. It’s like discussing rampant murders in democrat run cities filled with liberals
They’ll go to their standby - it’s because guns are easy to buy in Montana or something like that.
Yea, ok.

A large part of the shutdown is the Imperial valley you say. An area with 6800 confirmed cases last week. An area that never came completely off lockdown, has had no lockdown protests (except the Health Commissioner Approved George Floyd protests) and whose infection rate is intimated by most articles to be "due to the border with Mexico." And you say you know this because of the 500 cases that have been referred to "other neighboring counties" in the past several weeks. And you say all of that unironically. Queshank

The difference between a leftist and a liberal ... is when a leftist comes across information that doesn't fit their narrative, he/she either pretends it doesn't exist or goes out of their way to subvert or subdue it. Mock it. Rationalize it away. Cast aspersions on the source, even when the source is one trumpeted an hour earlier by leftists. In some cases I've literally seen these people pretend they don't see information that doesn't confirm their biases. When a liberal comes across information that doesn't fit their narrative, he/she adjusts their narrative. And gets turned on by the leftists. Queshank

Florida will be next:
Florida has more Covid-19 than most countries in the world. These stats show how serious the problem is
What should be a booming tourist destination this time of year is now riddled with coronavirus, dwarfing other states and even entire countries in some metrics.
Here's what the situation in Florida looks like:
Florida had more new cases in 1 day than the entire US did in about 2 months
Florida reported its highest number of new Covid-19 cases in one day -- 15,300 on Saturday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. That's a new record for the most new cases in a single day from any state -- including New York state earlier in the pandemic.
It took the entire United States 59 days to top 15,000 combined cases -- from January 21 to March 20.
It also took the entire US more than two months from the start of the outbreak to top 15,000 new cases in a single day.
That happened on March 26, when the US had 18,036 new cases in a single day, according to Johns Hopkins data.Florida has 12x the cases of Australia and South Korea combined
Australia and South Korea both have more people than Florida, but both countries have seen just a fraction of the Covid-19 cases that Florida has.
www.cnn.com/2020/07/13/health/florida-coronavirus-cases-comparisons/index.html
Better duck Archie. This is the result of massive incompetence and a total lack of leadership from the Trump Administration. It's a phucking disgrace.

Do you want to talk about problems within the political community in greater detail? Is this an invitation to piss on the mirrored reflection of leftists? Okay...consider them pissed on. Do you really want me to write another 3,000 word "q'splainin'" post? I think it's implied every time I say "Left wingers in the Trump era are acting just like right wingers did during Obama's presidency." But I don't give a shit about right wingers. I give a shit about the collapse of the left. I see you out there trying your damnedest to toe the line and mouth your liberal credentials while you carefully stay on the leftist side of the line. I know you know better. I know you're as disgusted with what you see going on on the left as I am. I know these things because I do believe you when you say you're a liberal, and I do think you're a very smart guy. I have no idea why you're choosing to be a part of the problem. But I hope you sort it out before you help the ship go down. Queshank
