The US hanged the people who participated in the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. The French favored the guillotine for traitors, while others swore by the sword, the gibbet or the wheel. What are we to do today traitors today? Our so-called Americans in positions of power who act as foreign assets? trumP, Manafort, Stone, Flynn, McConnell, Graham, Ryan . . . what's to be done with them? Many of those people deserve to be in prison. What strikes me? 1. “Acting as foreign assets” is not “treason”. If you need a definition, let me know. But you look like a dipshit. Again. 2. When Obama committed US resources to the Saudi genocide against Yemen, he did so to “placate” the Saudis. Obviously, not in the US interest, but in foreign interests. Similarly, participation in The destruction of Libya was not in American interests. Shouldn’t he be on your list? Or just your political opponents? I condemn unnecessary foreign military intervention by any country anywhere. I also know the difference between treachery and treason. You don't have to commit treason to be a traitor. All you have to do is to take the side of another country or group against your own in such a way that you harm your country in the interests of that other country. If that country is not truly an enemy, that is bad enough. But if that country is hell bent on destroying your country, and you act as their agent in their interests against your own country's interests . . . You are a traitor.

So you’ve bought the line that the neocons and “intelligence community” want you to believe. And now we’ll be in Afghanistan longer. Super. You’ve proven useful to them.

Treason is pretty clearly defined in the Constitution and I doubt we’re going to find anything that these men did that matches that definition, so the death penalty is off the table. You’ll need to sate your bloodlust in some other way. Having said that, if they committed a crime, charge them.

Why is the Halifax Gibbet not an option? I recently had to do a paper for a class...an informed alternate history. I had the English Revolution taking place halfway through the 18th century, similar to the French Revolution, but symbolized by the Halifax Gibbet instead of the guillotine.

What punishment then, should someone like you get for rolling over so quickly at Solar's LNF Revival? And please, don't respond to this until limey has had a chance to find it and then read it 20 or 30 times. How exactly did I “roll over” at Solar’s LNF revival?

Instinctively, intuitively, inevitably . . . that I don't know. But you sure didn't seem to have our backs when we needed you, Ms. Moderator. I don't know what all went on there. Maybe nothing you could have said or done would have made any difference. Odysseus and Fiddler and me and who all else got the boot? Did you stand up for any of us privately, but not publicly? Not that it really matters now. Truthfully, the question was half in jest. Plus, I'm not sure you're beheadable.

From the very start, I did my best to help the forum. That’s why I agreed to serve as a moderator. I emphasized that everybody should get, and take advantage of, a “fresh start.” Ulysses started trolling, to no one’s great surprise. In PMs, I kept requesting that he be given another chance. Obviously, that didn’t happen and Ulysses got banned. In my view, he wasn’t worth fighting that hard for. He didn’t care about being a contributor. So I accepted it. Soon after that, the forum became more heavily moderated, and I shared my disagreement with such heavy-handedness. I was basically told that I was being too nice, and my objections were dismissed. I was fine with that - it wasn’t my forum - but I decided to resign as a moderator. It was too frustrating. In the very end, when people like Fiddles and TL were given the boot, I again expressed my disagreement. I will never say anything bad about Solar or Taxed - I appreciate them - but I knew their iteration of the LNF was coming to a sad end.

What a bunch of BS (not you, BB).
Apparently any posting of opinions, articles, facts, or links left of center on Solar's LNFs forum was considered trolling. I guess be cause it upset the racist conservative bullying safe zone.
Solar got on my case for posting links as hyperlinks. Apparently he was too ignorant to realize all you had to do was mouse over the link to see where it led to, or heaven forbid, click on the link to read it. Then when I started posting plain links he got more bullying and said I wasn't supporting my claims - if any. Well, we all know what a joke his idea of moderation is. That he put Jasman in as a moderator was indicative of his inability to host a forum where all points of view are welcome. Although contrary to here claims that she resigned, I see that she's till a moderator over on CPF, at least last time I put on hip waders and a gas mask and took a peek over there.

Let’s make a bet. Let’s check out the forum. If I’m still a moderator there, Admin here can ban me for 30 days. If I’m not a moderator there, you get banned for 7 days.

You're trolling again.
I said you were still a moderator over on CPF that last time I checked.
I imagine you saw my post and just resigned.
I'm onto you, Jasman.

1. If you mean the Conservative News Forum, I was never a moderator there. I haven’t even posted there in quite some time. I average 0.142 posts per day there. 2. If you mean the LNF board that Solar set up, I stopped being a mod in late March. Here is a PM I sent to KSU Aviator on March 29: Anytime you want to proceed with the bet, let me know. In fact, I’ll up the ante. If I lose, I’ll be banned for 6 months. If you lose, you only get banned for 1 week. Deal?
