Extraordinarily odd to quickly authorize sending missiles into the heart of another country after an election but before the turn of power. And I have to assume you don’t just say here are some missiles have fun. There has to be on site training and hand holding. By who.

It's part of the problem with the whole Ukraine debacle.
I mean aside from the fact that the people of Russian heritage in Eastern Ukraine are literally the "no taxation without representation!" crowd.
Where's the strategy? Every 2 months it's something new. It's reacting to what is happening. Not planning for what we want to happen. It's fucking gross. And IMO if the people who supported this debacle aren't ashamed now ... it's only a matter of time before they are if they're decent people.

I'm not sure what your 'friend' is worried about, Donald promised a complete resolution PRIOR to him actually being sworn in. I can't wait to see your super-negotiator pull that off. Freon

He said he'd end it in 24 hours. The implication was 24 hours after he was in office. And the other fearmongers on your side of the dipshit aisle argue his strategy is to cut off military aid. Hard to do that before he's sworn in, no?
The suggestions to the contrary are the type of widespread misinformation that saw Trump re elected. So please keep that up. Queshank

Escalate in what way? It's a war.
It's a war you guys have been saying Ukraine is losing since it's beginning. It's still there though.

Oh, he ALSO said 24 hours. And it's Donald, so we can be sure 24 hours will turn into a month. Then a year. Then never. The metric people like you use to choose a leader is confusing to me, because it is clearly NOT based on actual results. For me, the primary metric is honor and integrity, of which Donald has zero. I thought Biden did, until he refused to honor his own commitment to step down after one term. I guess the lure of power was simply too much for him. Freon

Which of our 30 odd some presidents best represent the "honor and integrity" primary metric in your opinion?
BTW see Demos' update to his thread about how the Ukrainians are shifting their priorities aiming at an "accelerated timetable" in response to Trump's election.

Carter had integrity. The first Bush had it. Obama had it. Not sure about Reagan. He's a mixed bag to me. Same with Clinton. If you respond to this list with examples where they lacked it, you will have not proved your point. It is about weighing them as a whole. It is a scale where the honor and integrity FAR outweigh the opposite. THAT is what you will have to show to disagree with me. Ukraine is going to do what it feels it needs to do to survive. I neither love them nor hate them for it. I respect their fight, and I consider Russia an enemy. And the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and justifies helping them. Freon

Sure I don’t care all that much what he did with a low level intern. The worst was he knew the truth the whole time. And he, his wife, the media, fellow democrats absolutely trashed her for a year. And he kept his mouth shut. I’m shocked she managed to stay alive. Imagine if she didn’t have that blue dress.

I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of the wealthy getting away with anything they want. Don't care if they call themselves Dem or Repub, wealthy people should be held to the same account as any of us. Donald has broken so many laws, and done so with such complete disregard for consequences, I had hoped he'd be the first of all future leaders we'd hold to account. But you decided that is not what you value. That even though he's an obvious criminal, a convicted one as well, he should still be allowed to get away with it. I don't care about your politics or your policies, those we can bicker about and respect each other's opinions on, but when you decide to show no honor or integrity, that's a difference that cannot be resolved. I cannot respect someone like you, because you care only for yourself. Freon

I guess from my perspective killing people is killing people. Don't know how you escalate something when you're already making irrevocable actions.
It's fine, it's an opinion.

Hey guess what? From my perspective, killing people is killing people.
And a step above that on the evil scale is people giving weapons to children and sending them charging into the breach to *checks notes* "grind down" our geopolitical adversaries. But hey, there's oil in dem der hills.
