Back when the LGBQT++ movement was just starting I said to myself, "self, this is gonna hurt the Democrats in the next couple of cycles." The quiet acceptance of what we all know to be biological bullshit, by the Democratic base (of which I'm a member) was shocking. The vast majority of "I'm the opposite sex" declarations were simply coming out parties and many more are simply "I need attention" cries. No biggie, it is what it is. Then the talk of transitioning kids took it too far. No doubt the right has overstated and overplayed their hand, but the left dealt it. :/ Being gay is biological bullshit? As for being Trans....well....are you Trans? If you aren't, how do you come to the conclusion that "The vast majority of "I'm the opposite sex" declarations were simply coming out parties and many more are simply "I need attention" cries."? |

Nothing wrong with being gay, bisexual or having out-of-norm sexual attractions (as long as not with a minor or animal, IMO). There've been a percentage of humanity that is homosexual since we've been on this planet I expect. I'm all for acknowledging this reality and ensuring their rights are just as valid as the "normies". IMO, the number of biologically based "trans" people is a tiny percentage of the people claiming they're trans. It's a flavor of gay for most, an attention getter for many, and a very few being legit anomolies, biologically. My wife has been working the local schools for years. Only in the past few have kids started to self-identify and act accordingly. This is cultural, not biological. |

Is it really quiet acceptance or all out shoving it downs everyone’s throat. The quiet acceptance was my description of the left in this instance. The right threw their arms in the air and declared it was the end of humanity while the left didn;'y push back. Both sides are trapped in their narratives. To be clear, as someone who is supportive of anyone’s lifestyle as long as it doesn’t tread on me… It was the left that was pushing all sorts of stuff - ie 200k allocated in New York City for drag shows at public schools - this is not some fringe thing. This is New York City. There was no quiet acceptance there was active pushing all sorts of stuff. If you said on the middle or right I’m against using tax dollars for that. The left went insane. Or I’m against having a grade k book encouraging gay sex (or straight sex for that matter), the left collectively went insane with their book ban claims or saying republicans were anti gay. It’s been ridiculous. |
