If the corrupt Democrats would stop rigging elections there would be no need for these proposals Show us your homework. Why would you want to see his coloring books?

Every state decides how they run elections. That's the deal. If Colorado can remove Donald from the ballot, and we are ok with that, then Arizona should be able to legally change how it picks electors. The law cannot just work for one side. I don't LIKE what Arizona is proposing, but my guess is neither will the electorate. And they may get away with it for this cycle, but those politicians will lose their jobs as a result. We cannot force our way to how we want the country to run, as the far right tried to do. It's quicker, but has no lasting power. Like Justice, we need to let things play out, and allow the system to correct itself. You need to have faith in us. Freon He’ll freezes over. Cars and dogs playing. Freon understanding states rights and constitutional law…. What is going on here. You have never understood me. My positions haven't moved an inch. Freon

So... folks are passing laws related to the election process... and that is "stealing" the election? OK, I am glad that you have come full circle and now agree that Democrats stole the election from Trump. Uh oh, you're making the mistake I made in the "Republicans prove once again they hate our form of government" thread. That was where I got the facts wrong in the OH abortion amendment case and lomelis went all to pieces over it. Here's where you fucked up; no law has been passed yet; this bill isn't even out of committee. lomelis will shit his pants when he reads your post. And I will have to say you do remain consistent in your dancing around a subject. This bill will ALLOW the state legislature to steal a presidential election because it will give the state legislators supremacy over the actual votes cast for the candidates.....the plan is sort of like this.....if their candidate wins the legislature will go along with the will of the voters. But if their candidate loses, this bill will allow them to pronounce their candidate the winner in spite of getting fewer votes. But you go ahead and dance. Fool

In fact, I was in here earlier to try to get lomelis to engage and stop beating his dead horse in the form of the couple of things I got wrrong in the OH abortion amendment issue. I just came across another example of this type thing, this time in MO. So I came back in just to post it as another example of how Republicans hate our form of government. But I'll post it here, too. www.yahoo.com/news/missouri-senate-republicans-filibuster-hopes-224626560.html

Scum. Every last one .
Many Red States are making such preparations as we speak ..
Proposed Bill Would Give Arizona Legislature Power to Overturn Presidential Popular Vote
State Sen. Anthony Kern was heavily involved in the attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Arizona
Arizona State Senator Anthony Kern, R, is pushing to give the state legislature power in appointing presidential electors, regardless of who wins the popular vote, through a new piece of proposed legislation.
As it currently stands in Arizona, the winner of the popular vote gets to determine the state's electors, however, Kern is looking to override that process entirely.
With Senate Concurrent Resolution 1014, the Arizona legislature would be the sole decider of appointing electors, no matter the winner of the popular vote.
This is great news. Fiddler, you may remember that I am an advocate for a return to this form of elections at the federal level. It's the only way to preserve federalism IMO. The federal government was set up to be the government of the governments. Not the government of "the people." The People have their governments in the state. Where "democracy" resides. Where people can actively influence their politics, not a distant "elitist" ruling body from afar with no connection to the people.
Under that system as it was originally devised, the electors were simply the elected officials in a given state. It's how and why we have X electoral votes from each state. The legislature in each state would vote for which among them would be the state's representative at the federal level. It sounds like I'm being an apologist for this move. And while that may be true ... it's only because I was advocating this very thing on the boards before Obama even.
It's true what Shane Gillis says. A love of history really is early onset Republican.

If you only had an hour to allocate to politics you’d think 50 minutes would be focused on local politics - mayor governor etc and 10 minutes to federal issues. These days it’s the opposite. Which is a sad state and tells us all just how out of control and in our lives they feds have crept.

Creating laws that allow a far-right hyper-partisan few to override the votes of millions.. = stealing an election..
Gonna be interesting to see how you're gonna lie about that ..

So, again, you agree that the Democrats stole the election in 2020 by passing last minute laws to change the rules to their favor. Great.

So the democrats didn’t even change laws to change election rules. They simply changed the rules without a legislative process. Which was deemed legal. Ok. Let’s have at it.

Lets see you prove your lies, and then we will "have at it" Legislative action is meaningless when you rig a process that gives you control of the matter.
And your gawds have done just that.
