But atheists think they understand Christianity lol.
... You claim to be an atheist, moron. Is that some kind of split personality disorder or are you just an idiot? Do you think it's impossible to be an atheist and understand Christianity?
More importantly I guess. Do you think it's impossible to be an atheist and understand religion and its role in both history and today and the human experience?
Do you disagree that every single atheist .. to a man/woman/wtfelsethereiseveryonebelievestomakethingscomplicatedandcreateacausetothepointwherereasonablepeoplearegoingtostartwonderingwhatsnext ... thinks they understand Christianity?
I'm not claiming I understand religion or Christianity any better than any other atheist. Merely pointing out when atheists make that claim to Christians. I wonder if it's infuriating for those Christians ... being deliberately misrepresented like that ... as it was for me when I used to argue with people that insist atheism ... literally "without religion" (Triple R ... lookin' at you specifically) ... is a religion. (Or as annoying as it is for leftists when I call their ...admittedly manufactured out of whole cloth ... belief structure a religion.)
I wonder if it makes them angry enough to vote for even an orange baboon if he promises to fight for them.
I wonder what leftists will do with their anger if he wins. Huh. Probably nothing. Right? What would you do to stop Hitler? Nothing, right?

I am not sure what your point is but, just to put things back into perspective, "understanding" is much more a question of intellect as it is one of beliefs or belonging to a group. A clever atheist will understand Christianity much better than a stupid Christian ever could even if the latter spent his whole life studying it. Just as an addict knows much less about the drugs he's using than a competent chemist and about the health risks he's running than say a doctor. Use your head.

It's not at all surprising that you conflate Christians with addicts and atheists with "competent chemists" and "doctors."
Did you know a doctor will stop a dementia patient from drinking diet Mtn Dew because there are studies that show a correlation between dementia and diet Mtn Dew? Stop them to the point they nearly die to dehydration and kidney failure?
There's also a causal relationship between obesity and type 2 diabetes. And type 2 diabetes and alzheimers. (So much so that alzheimers is being called in some circles "type 3 diabetes.")
There's also an obvious correlation between obese people and diet Mtn Dew...
Did you know 50% of all doctors graduated in the bottom of their class?
It reminds me of an old joke among nurse friends of mine. "What do you call a medical student with straight D's?" "Answer: Doctor."
Doctors are just following the Word too.
Understanding has nothing to do with intellect. God is an idea. What people choose to do with that idea is on them.

Is it Alzheimer's or ADD that made you miss that I opposed a "clever Atheist" to a "stupid Christian"?
Not all Christians are stupid and you are a proof positive that not all (alleged) Atheists are clever.
Most believers are much closer to being addicts than chemists or doctors.
Yeah, because there's only one brand of water in the whole world...
Given your premise that's bullshit. You can't even write a syllogism correctly and I'll bet you think of yourself as "intellectual"...
Did you learn that at the school of the ridiculously obvious?
If he's a student, he's not yet a doctor, stupid.
Which has very little to do with my initial point, mister went-off-on-a-tangent-and-got-lost.
It is the essence of intellect, stupid.
Everyone is "people", idiot.
