Ennio Morricone's The Mission. I love this soundtrack.
I'm a fan of The Empire Strike's Back, of course. And Lord of the Rings. Moulin Rouge is fun. If I remember correctly, The Firm was entirely piano—creative and unusual for a film score.

Interesting choices! Nice and jazzy! Yeah, they chose extremely well for that movie. Hell, I may have to queue it up.

What I don't get is that he talks about the scum of the universe, yet he's never met monster fuck... that's a puzzler.

The Magnificent Seven by Elmer Bernstein. Greg Is that movie any good? I watched the remake and it sucked. Pretty much all of them died.

The Magnificent Seven is based on the Japanese movie, "Seven Samurai", 1954, directed by Akira Kurosawa.
And yes, the original 1960 version is much better and more acclaimed than the 2016 remake.

"Seven Samurai" is so much superior though... But you have to watch the Japanese version otherwise it loses something.

Never seen the original. I assume it comes with subtitles? Because I'm not very good at understanding Japanese.

Indeed, but if you watch it several times, you can watch it without the subtitles and guess what they're saying and it's even better. I know some Japanese though and it helps but even if you don't know it, you can still guess what they're saying after a few viewings (their number depends on your memorization). I've done it with languages I don't know at all and it works.
