More evidence that every accusation is a confession. The Russian trolls have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams with people like you. You do know that Russian state media has praised Tucker Carlson for his "coverage" of the war in Ukraine, don't you? But don't feel bad; many Congressional Republicans have also fallen for the Russian troll army misinformation campaign. And the best part of it is that the victims of it don't even realize they're victims even though they cultivate victimization status at the drop of a hat. Russia cannot believe how successful they've been in this. It possibly could be arranged.
Although I've taken pretty much a hands off approach to this joke contest. So I'd probably ask somebody else to step in.
I will instead focus my efforts on seeing Jasminimum win the "Queen of Mean" award. She's an obvious shoo-in. I hear tell she used to claim that's what she was/is. No joke there, just God's Truth. Um...what? No, the fairly obvious meaning is that "Newcomer of the Year" is kind of spoken for, every year. As for "Queen of Mean," that has been Jasmine's nickname for years and years.
I'm old enough to remember a TV show called "Queen for a Day". As I recall, it involved contestants vying for the honor, for which they'd get fantastic (at least in the 50's) prizes awarded on stage/TV. And of course, a crown and a regal cloak. I think Woody Allen once did a hilarious parody of that in one of his movies.

Me too. Insofar as eschewing cable TV. The mute button comes in very handy during the commercial TV news broadcasts.

What is most noticeable about this show is how it is really an unbroken series of advertisements for the "prizes" that the Queen receives upon her "coronation". LOL. As I recall from my childhood, my mother was quite unimpressed with this show.

Thanks, everyone, for the votes! Here's an observation: it seems to me that the "original LNF" leaned pretty far right. Farther right than I am. I think coming in 2nd for "Conservative Poster of the Year" might indicate that this new iteration of LNF leans farther left than the original, because I probably would have been far closer to centre on the old board. Also, I have been pretty absent of late, mostly because I have been fighting vertigo since Christmas Eve. Five days straight of being mostly in bed, eating the equivalent of about three meals across that time. Slowly getting better. I got rid of the ceiling fans and mine went away. |

I got rid of the ceiling fans and mine went away. Really? I spent 6 months in a cheap motel in Houston after Ike. After about 2 months the vertigo started anytime I had to look up - even 6/12 roofs became scary. Anyway it continued to worsen after I came home. PT made it some better until our tv started strobing. You could turn it off for a second and the stove effect would go away, so replacement didn’t seem urgent. Meanwhile my vertigo was getting much worse until the tv was replaced. Slow moving fans in very high ceiling rooms are okay, but spot lights above the fans are the worst. Even ceiling light fan combo in rooms with 8 or 9 foot ceilings bring it on. Box fans are great and those Dyson fans are quiet and look cool. In a shorter answer: yep, really. Let me know your results. |
