Criminals, insane accidents and untrained kids do harm themselves and other people. But why blame that gun that if you left it in the table for a hundred years would hurt no one. The statistic follows a year of high-profile shootings, including the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, which killed 19 students, all 11 years old or younger, on May 24. Among the youngest killed by gunfire this year was 5-month-old Cecilia Thomas, who was shot in the head and killed in Chicago while sitting in a car during a drive-by shooting in June. Overall, 43,675 people died from gun violence in 2022, with 19,849 being related to homicide, murder or unintentional causes and 23,826 classified as suicide. It is stupid to say guns are innocent. What you should say is guns are dangerous

And what do we say about hunter illegally obtaining a gun and then throwing it in a garbage can.
And his father interceded to avoid prosecution
But if you are a democrat that’s ok.

If you leave a gun on a table accessible to kids you are a criminal in your own rights, asshole! You could say the same thing about a bear trap, idiot. It could stay there and hurt no one as long as they don't step on it, but do that and it will damage your limb so badly that there is a good chance that it will have to be amputated, cretin! Unless people leave you there long enough and septicemia will kill you, after what is sure to be a very long and painful agony. YOU MISS THE POINT PEASOUP. It is not the gun that kills. It is the careless, untrained, stupid, suicidal or criminal that kills. Not the gun. You are the one missing the point, bozo. If kids are killed by guns in accidents it is because of assholes like you and their gun-fetish, you stupid piece of shit.

How else can kids defend themselves against other kids that picked up a gun on a table?
I'm thinking we just need guns assigned at birth.

It’s because of the assholes who have a fetish for swimming.

Cars and clubs and knives and hands and feet are dangerous if misused; we don't go leftist stupid on those items as it they commit crimes, do we?
Guns are an inanimate object, a benign tool until picked up an either misused or used according to the law. In all cases, the inanimate is innocent, since no guilt is applied to inanimate objects.

Where is this “unfettered access” or lack of restrictions you speak of? Been to a gun show lately? Yeah, I go several times a year. Licensed gun dealers have to abide by all the same laws they did outside of the gun show. All the same laws and regulations pertaining to guns outside a gun show exist inside of one. It doesn't somehow become magically lawful for a felon to own, possess, or purchase a firearm inside of one, for example.

You fail to mention private sales at gun shows which are voluminous and legal. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_show_loophole

Private sales happen outside of gun shows. As I said, there is nothing that happens at a gun show that somehow changes the laws already in place. Private sales still fall under the same laws. If you are a felon, it doesn't somehow make it lawful for you to own or possess a firearm because you bought it through a private sale. That law did not change.

I am neither embarrassed or defensive. When you want to actually respond to the things I have said, let me know. Or maybe, perhaps, you can try to tell me where this unfettered access to guns with no restrictions is.
