Gun deaths happen throughout states It's important to remember when in discussion with the liars and distortionists that make up today's Right-Wing Nut Jobs ..
You can only talk about "states" when the metric shows the RWNJs in a good light.. Anything "bad" must be confined to cities..
Such is the extent of their hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy is pretending that "states" are the metric to look at. Try this instead....half of all homicides are committed by young to middle aged black males who only make up 2-3% of the U.S. population. Almost all of those murdered by these thugs are black as well.
Guns are not the problem; it's primarily a cultural issue, especially in the black community.

You can always count on the left to do one thing when the moderates here drill down into the data to illustrate and highlight root causes... They will always pull the magnifying glass back, and try to give a macro analysis to avoid actually addressing the problem or spotlighting who is causing the problem They love to talk about gun violence at the US level...when we drill down to the local city and even within city level, they want to talk about the entire state....does illinois have a gun problem...no, does chicago have a problem, yes...do parts of chicago account for most all of the problems in chicago, absolutely...should all of illinois suffer and lose rights because of criminals in certain parts of chicago - no. even with covid...start pointing out who is actually dying...and they want to pull the magnifying glass back and mix in healthy young people with 80 year olds with cancer, heart disease and type I diabetes... the worst part, is they always want to dictate policies to all based on what is a problem for a very defined and targeted group...

Feel free to point out how it is the cities next time someone on the right points to a state. In this case, I bring the facts, you can't do anything other than cry about them or ignore them.

True, the map I source shows that NY state has far less gun deaths than many of the red states.
