We have laws. We need enforcement. A liberal prosecutor let a deranged man go and he shot people is a story that is written several times a year, if not monthly. Don't tell me we don't have laws. And teice as many are first time offenders. You are not a criminal until you committ a crime. Which is why gun laws that prevent law abiding people from buying guns are unconstitutional. You can't punish people because someone else might do something bad.

The relief MM feels knowing that 6,000 kids won't be forced to hear a Drag Queen read The Giving Tree appears to be overwhelming..
Let's give the man some time to gather his thoughts .. a decade sounds about right..
Great book.

You truly don't hear it? I'm being as loud as I possibly can be in my responses.
The words are not the message. What I am doing is laughing at you.
No wonder you are so easy to manipulate. You don't even know when you are being mocked. Donald does it to you. Fox does it to you. And all you hear are the words they say, not the meaning behind them.
What's it like to be so blind? To suck on the tit of those who are exploiting you the most? The ones who count on your being an ignorant angry fool? Freon
Oh man, I know I have really gotten to you when you have given up even trying to respond in one of your usual schticks and just go straight to the personal attacks. I'm not really interested if you think that or not. Think what you wish, you have every right to do so. I'm just being brutally honest, as I always am. You can accept that, or delude yourself.
It's obvious which choice you prefer.

One of these days, when Democrats finally secure political power in Chicago and the people there finally figure out that it is the Democrats who have the right answers and decide to vote them in, these lives will be saved.
One day…
Perhaps a poem or song will inspire this necessary transition.

What is more important is equity. It doesn't matter how many children die, what really matters is that we make sure to end bail programs or not prosecute folks for gun crimes, so we can make sure that fewer POC are caught up in the justice system. Bullshit. Double the penalties for gun crimes. Offer no parole for proven re-offenders. Next? *I* am the person calling for the death penalty for *ALL* gun-related crimes.

You can believe you are not interested if you want to delude yourself, you have every right to do so. Or you can choose to be honest. It’s obvious which one you prefer.

It’s as if the people of places like Chicago are simply unwilling to save lives. If only they would see the light, and turn away from the unscrupulous Republicans who have been in power for decades and have been a blight on their fair city.
Towards the Democrats they should turn, allowing those with noble intentions to put a stop to these tragedies.
But alas, they vote for the vile Republicans. The white nationalists that make an otherwise wondrous place instead a hell scape MAGA country shithole.
Perhaps a flag or catchphrase on all of our Social Media accounts is the step needed to push the citizens of Chicago towards the proper and moral path? Perhaps even if one or two brave Democrats could catch lighting in a bottle and win office, it would set off a chain reaction which would end in full Democrat control of Chicago politics and an end to these tragedies?
What could be, if we’re willing to hope. And to try.

And just how were they killed? Was it by another child under 18 years old? And was it done on purpose, murder. Or an accident? If more were by accident, they should be trained a bit at a much younger age like I was. My instructions were, “Don’t point that at anybody”.

Modern day children are not being taught like they were years ago because of people like you July 19, 2019 By Claire McCarthy, MD, Senior Faculty Editor, Harvard Health Publishing Stories about shootings are becoming far too common. The news is full of stories of shootings at schools, workplaces, and other public places. While stories of mass shootings get the headlines, guns kill people every day. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), guns killed almost 40,000 people in 2017, the highest amount in the nearly 50 years since the CDC started their electronic database. Here are some other important facts: Firearm injury is the cause of death in 74% of all homicides and 87% of all youth homicides. Every day, 78 children, teens, and young adults are injured or killed by guns in the US. The risk of death by suicide is four to 10 times higher in homes with guns. Firearms are used in 50% of all suicides, and 42% of youth suicides. One in three homes with children in the US has a gun. Children as young as 3 years old may be strong enough to pull the trigger on a handgun. Three out of four children (including children less than 10 years old) living in a house with a gun know where the gun is, even when their parents think they don’t. While many people feel that having a gun keeps them safer, the research suggests that the opposite is true.

One day… Perhaps a poem or song will inspire this necessary transition. Yeah, it's a well known fact that Chicago street gangs are very politically astute. They would certainly change their ways if Republicans were running the city.....probably throw away their guns and start going to church. And not many people know this, but there are a lot of drivers on the interstates that check their smart phones to see if the county they're currently transiting is run by a sheriff who is a Democrat or a Republican. They do this so they know when it's ok to massively exceed the speed limit. And throw their fast food trash out the window. It's sort of the same principle I employ before I vandalize particular walls with the "tuck frump" slogan. I only do it on Republican walls.
