First it is not true that there are nearly no examples. Heritage foundation out together a long list of examples they found in public records. Second, the system is set up to deidentify voters from their votes making proof very difficult. And finally there was an interview last week from the NY Post I believe, detailing how easily a democratic operative manipulated mail in votes. How many votes were supposedly manipulated versus how many votes have been cast over the last decade? Strange how the only incident you can give of this supposed problem is an anonymous source published by the Murdoch Post. Enough to change elections. Thousands per district per year. |

Shouldn’t be difficult, there are entire states that do mail-in voting. The insider said he took care not to stuff the fake ballots into just a few public mailboxes, but sprinkle them around town. That way he avoided the attention that foiled a sloppy voter-fraud operation in a Paterson, NJ, city council race this year, where 900 ballots were found in just three mailboxes. |

It is my understanding that in several states, absentee and mail-in ballots (same thing) are not counted until the in-person election process is complete (Election Day voting). If the same registered voter has sent in their ballot by mail, and then shows up to vote, then the mail-in ballot is supposed to be invalidated.
However given Trump's track record, I would not be surprised that his comments are intended to sow more doubt and chaos about the vote, so he can claim the election was somehow "rigged" and refuse to concede the election.

It’s the epitome of cognitive dissonance, which is pretty much a requirement to be a fervent Trumper. |
