Volcanic pollution is bad. It causes great potential hazards in the form of sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen fluoride. Sulfur dioxide causes acid rains to fall. If you have a lung disease, I wouldn't recommend a trip to Hawaii right now. |

Well, the worst of it is probably confined to the Big Island (Hawaii), which is the easternmost of the five main islands. And even on the Big Island, air pollution is probably highly dependent upon the wind direction, which generally are trade winds that blow from the northeast to the southwest. However the trade winds occasionally stop, and then the Kona winds start, from generally the opposite direction, which can bring volcanic air pollution to some of the other islands in the Hawaiian chain.

The local PBS station is now showing a documentary about the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Dramatic. I wonder though how much Jasmine's gaseous emissions played in this event.

I have it on good authority that Jasmine's gaseous emissions were the primary cause of the Kilauea eruption, which destroyed a lot of homes.
She should be locked up with the key thrown into Kilauea.
