Okay, I’ll just make my idea public.
By now it should be pretty obvious that the likes of Ulysses and Davy have no real intention of contributing to the LNF. They like to go off the rails and pollute the forums with troll posts. And they largely do it with the backing or tacit approval of their libbie peers. There is no accountability whatsoever.
So my idea involves giving a one-week “time out” to both the offending poster and five pre-selected “allies.”
Example: The next time Ulysses goes on a troll spree like “Heil Trump!” not only does he get a full week timeout but so will, say, Davy, Atreyu, Citizen, Greg and Fiddler. Conversely, if I pull a similar stunt, I would get the timeout along with RWB, Rabbit, Lomelis, Petep and KSU Aviator.
Yes, it seems like a drastic measure, but I think it would be highly effective. For example, I would never go off the rails if I thought it would cause RWB, Rabbit, Lomelis, etc. to get a timeout. Likewise, libbies who actually contribute to the forum and care about it (like Greg and Fiddles) wouldn’t put up with Davy going off the rails and jeopardizing their LNF status.
